hehe ^^ if you look at the texture resources here on deviantart, you'll find mostly that: pure photos, nothing manipulated...and some freaks like me, who keep staring at these. just want to explore the other side too - no manipulating in pure photos.
well, yeah, i think people are to lazy to manipulate any of the textures but some of them really do look better without any changes made. i always wondered where do you get these and now i saw that this is a lantern (or at least it was )! cool well, freaks are the best artists, i must say that... that's why i tend to be one lol i still haven't even started to read that CS3 guide lol... and i won't for a month or two for sure... i'd like to try myself in novel witting, so i'll join NaNoWriMo where the goal is to write a whole novel in one month (November). and they also have some fancy prize thingies lol
sounds good ^^ i wasn't familiar with cs3 for a long time, even not with cs2 or the previous photoshop stuff. started with paintshop pro 7, continued with gimp and tested cs2. i just try, what looks good from texture to texture, without any guide. i just click myself through options, until something cool turns out i just explored the "erase"-function from texture 40 or something like that...brushes before, layers before them. i donno, where it takes me....lets see. ^^
btw cs4 is great. dont ask me, where i have the money for it...i just say, that its a trial
that's great. but it also demands some time. which i don't have . i'm so into many obligations that i don't seem to manage everything that i'd like to. and anyway, beside being a lazy procrastinator, i'm also a person that starts everything but rarely finishes any of it ... and this is also my final year at high school, i have to choose a college and learn for exams and write the school finishing essay stuff or whatever and then i'll be busy studying again... stupid schooling system lol
well, you better don't ask where i got the cs3 from
