I'm by no definition a expert on textures or how they made, but I'm always thankful for good textures, who isn't, right? ;)
For my personal work I don't use them but if I make a wallpaper or a quick mockup for a website, I'm glad there is someone who can make qualitative good and usable textures. I often use them as overlay or as a displacement file.
But now to this work, sorry for the rant, as soon as I saw it, I thought about water, especially an ocean. I like the light and dark parts, and these "scratches" on the texture, it gives them an unique touch and since they are not too bright, can be used as a background or overlay for very different types of art and designs.
What I don't like is the overall blur of the texture, I think a more subtle blur here and there, would be me more effective.
Nonetheless it is a good texture and most probably used for also some very nice artwork.

At first , i not an expert in this things, so why not improvise! Second i always like their textures..
I really like this blue or "cold palette", it's always gets me to the winter. This picture particularly, reminds me to the ocean (which i love), brings movement, of the air and water, i dont know if it understands. The shape of the design also gives a three dimensional appearance, and the small white lines, give time, as if they were telling bit a bit a litle story. But getting the corny(i think its that how you say it), is a good image and i really like it ;D (dont make jokes about this)
